A Southern California native, Richard has lived in both Los Angeles and Orange County over the last 40 years. He is a business professional who understands the importance of the “customer first” philosophy, always maintaining a high level of moral and ethical judgment.
Richard has a strong belief in education. In 1992, he earned a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in Real Estate and Finance from California State University, Northridge. Upon graduation, Richard accepted a customer service position at Ford Motor Credit. Within the first three years of his employment with Ford Motor Credit, Richard was promoted 4 times. Within a year of this promotion, Richard was approached by WFS Financial and offered the position of credit analyst, which he accepted and successfully worked for the following 3 years. Looking to broaden his knowledge and experience base, in 2000 Richard accepted an account executive position with commercial lender CIT. Putting his education and prior experience to work, Richard was acknowledged by CIT's management and designated to manage a portfolio in excess of 1 billion dollars receivable which included some of the company’s largest clients. Not only was he successful in managing the portfolio but, through excellent customer service, he was able to add many new clients through referrals of his existing client base. During his tenure at CIT, Richard enrolled and was accepted into the Graziadio School of Business M.B.A. program at Pepperdine University. Two years after enrollment, he graduated in the top 5% of his class earning membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, which is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.
After graduating Pepperdine University, Richard shifted gears and moved into the wholesale mortgage industry by accepting an account executive job with Long Beach Mortgage, a wholly owned subsidiary of Washington Mutual. Using his customer service experience and honest business approach, he was able to grow the business in his territory by 134%. In 2005 he was approached by a sales manager at Wilmington Finance, a wholly owned subsidiary of AIG, and was offered a position as an account executive senior which he accepted. From 2005 through 2008 Richard was consistently one of the top 10 producers nationwide, an achievement that earned him the designation of President’s Club Member.
Richard has a long time interest in real estate and a strong passion for dealing with customers. In 2006, Richard earned his California Department of Real Estate broker’s license. Maintaining focus on his career as an account executive, he began working as an agent in his spare time up until 2009 when he accepted his current position as an agent with Real Estate Alliance.
